"Test" 9'0" IMP - 6-1/2 oz for line
weight 5/6#. Length 9 foot. 2 piece with full
cork handle scroll shaped with cork reel seat
spacer and screw locking reel seat fitting. Snake
guides with hardchrome tip and butt rings.
Finished in Close ties Claret Whippings. This rod
is of a very special nature used very
successfully on chalkstreams and stillwaters. In
1983 the Black Rod a fore runner to this line and
length assisted the World Individual Champion
Tony Pawson and Alan Pearson (holder that time of
three British Trout records) who also had used
this excellent design when hunting specimens. It
has now been named the "Test" as a
tribute to both of them and now available in
Built Cane. The "Test" is a particular
favourite in Chalkstreams of the Test and Itchen,
hence the name and the fond day's Alastair
Agutter had fishing at Avington with many of the
legendary names in Game fishing and show
